Aegis offers a wide size range, ensuring that every body armour is a bespoke solution designed and manufactured to fit the individual.
Male size ranges
Aegis offer 136 standard male sizes ranging from width’s 00-15 and height’s A-H.
Female size range
Aegis offer 145 standard female sizes ranging from width’s 49-66 and height’s A-H.
'How we size' - The sizing and fitting of body armour is as important to Aegis as it is to the wearer and those charged with their protection. Incorrectly fitted body armour increase risk, is going to be uncomfortable and reduces operational effectiveness.
Aegis offers a 'Size and Fit' programme to all customers so that wearers are fitted correctly during their first sizing session. For those not able to avail themselves of this service then there is available a full range of simple to follow materials and instructions on the fitting, wearing and maintenance of body armour systems.
Open Clinics
Aegis offer a confidential ‘special measure / medical clinic’ for officers who have sizing issues or long & short term medical problems.
We can meet with the force occupational health teams & hold clinics of up to 10 officers to do special fitting / assessments regards the sizing and issue of body amour. The typical result from a special measure clinic can be as simple as a lumbar support to a fully individual tailored system taking into account all aspects of the officers sizing issues or medical conditions.
