Quality Policy
Aegis has an established 'Quality Management System' (QMS), which warrants that the service the company delivers to its customers is always done so to agreed and specified requirements.
The QMS process, which has been fine tuned over many years, protects each customers unique product design and performance characteristics also guaranteeing consistant quality be delivered following each and every production.
The QMS process is imbedded within each staff member, with each being aware of the importance of quality in their work. Working practices are constantly quality assessed and training is maintained to ensure the integrity of each and every output.

Testing and Inspection
Aegis manages all new product development within a rigorous testing regime which is fully supported by our key suppliers of ballistic and stab resistant materials. We produce protective systems to the HOSDB body armour standards for UK police (2007) and posses the capability to produce to NIJ ballistic, knife and spike standards as well as ballistisch and Stich Schutzwesten (German standards).
Each armour panel construction is detailed in a technical specification and is subject to 100% inspection against these specifications at a number of stages throughout the manufacturing process. Only when it has passed final inspection will the panel be issued with its unique identification number.
Traceability
Aegis maintains an advanced product traceability system. Should there be a problem, we are capable of tracing the product (including components) from supplier through production to user level. This allows our customers to rest assured that if ever required then rapid action can be taken in support of their information requests related to product question or abuse!
Certification
Aegis and its’ key suppliers are certified to ISO9001:2000. In the spirit of this standard we are committed to continually improving our products, processes and procedures, working closely with our suppliers to ensure a quality product and service. Supplier reviews and audits are performed to verify conformance to high standards and expectations.

Process Control
Process controls are in place throughout the production of ballistic materials, from the manufacture of the yarn through to the weaving of the finished fabric. The manufacturing process utilises both advanced process line control systems and on line monitoring devices, together with work in progress quality control checks.
Our People
Our emphasis is placed on training employees, especially line operators, thus ensuring that all team members understand the critical connection between themselves and Aegis’s life-saving products. This awareness is highly motivating for all employees and results in a rich flow of proposals for continuous improvements.
